Dr. Kangning REN Named Among World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024 by Stanford University

Stanford University has recognised 29 scholars from the Faculty of Science as among the World’s Top 2% most-cited scientists for 2024. This achievement underscores the Faculty’s commitment to maintaining world-class research and gaining international recognition.

The rankings are derived from the “Updated science-wide author databases of standardised citation indicators”, compiled and published annually by Professor John P.A. Ioannidis and his team of notable researchers from Stanford University. Researchers are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. The rankings are based on standardised metrics, including citation counts, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers across various authorship positions, and a composite indicator.
