In the summer of 2014 Dr.Ren served as mentor of an undergraduate student, David Jaramillo, from Harvard University through a summer visiting research fellowship program held by Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI). Under the joint mentoring of Dr. Maria Dulay and me, David was able to complete a project in 2 months and is working towards two manuscripts based on his work.
